When can I file, and is there a cap?

The first application period runs July 2 to October 31, 2026 in both streams, filed in Arrima, with no cap on the number of applications. The program itself runs to July 2, 2028; whether a further period opens depends on how many applications MIFI receives by October 31.

I finished my Quebec diploma in 2026. Can I apply?

No. The diploma must have been held as of November 19, 2025.

Does the PEQ use NCLC levels?

No. Quebec uses the Échelle québécoise: oral 7 and written 5 for graduates, oral 7 for workers.
