Out of 100 points on both the Labour and the Express Entry grids, across six scored areas: language, education level and field, skill and work experience level, strategic priorities, and employment-prospect factors including a PEI job offer and previous Canadian work experience. A profile stays in the pool for six months.

Which occupations is PEI inviting?

The Office of Immigration is prioritizing higher-demand sectors including healthcare, trades, and manufacturing, and states that people working in sales and service may not receive an invitation at this time. International graduates of UPEI, Holland College, and Collège de l'Île were prioritized in 2026 invitations. Business and entrepreneur invitations have been zero in every 2026 round.

How often does PEI draw?

Monthly. The 2026 rounds ran January 15, February 19, March 20, April 16, May 21, June 18, and July 16, issuing 853 labour and Express Entry invitations between them, and the province has published an anticipated schedule of August 20, September 17, October 15, November 19, and December 17.

Do I need a PEI job offer?

The Skilled Worker route requires a full-time, non-seasonal offer (permanent or at least two years) from a PEI employer in TEER 0 to 3, along with two years of full-time experience in the past five, a valid work permit, a post-secondary credential from a programme of at least two years, and CLB 4. Applicants must be between 18 and 59. PEI Express Entry publishes separate points grids for candidates with and without a job offer.

What does a PEI application cost, and how long do I have?

Creating an Expression of Interest profile is free. A non-refundable $300 fee falls due when you submit the Workforce Application Form, and an Employer Compliance Fee of $230 applies where the foreign national needs a work permit. You have up to 30 days from the invitation to complete the application before it expires.
